CARPENTER

BRICK/STONE MASON

We have  trained Individuals with skills in block masonry work and Concrete Masonry Units to build exterior and interior walls as well as to build foundations for homes. Brick masons work with different types of brick that are added to the exterior of buildings as finishes as well as interior projects including chimneys and fireplaces. Stone masons work with different types of stone. Professional masons who can rehabilitate a structure which is already in place. As structures such as buildings age, the masonry units or the mortar can weather. 

This weathering process may cause openings to appear in the wall and allow water to drive into the interior of the structure. Our masons can work on these structures to replace or re-point the mortar joints to create a watertight structure. They can diagnose problems relating to exterior finishes of structures. They use their skills and abilities to identify problems relating to masonry surfaces and finishes. Our Professional masons use their skills to identify problems and develop solutions to restore the masonry surface back to its original level of performance.

Both residential structures and commercial structures include masonry as a standard building component. Residential structures include stone surfaces as well as brick surfaces. Foundations are typically made of either CMUs or concrete masonry units or are poured concrete foundations. Many features found on the interior of residences including fireplaces and kitchens incorporate masonry features into them. Commercial structures use masonry components as a major portion of the overall building structure design. Many commercial structures use concrete masonry units as the primary building component of the exterior of the building. Brick and stone are used as facades or exteriors of buildings to help promote specific looks and aesthetics. Many commercial structures incorporate these types of building components because of their ability to fireproof a building.

The type of project as well as the duration of the project can differ drastically between the residential and commercial projects. PLUMBER

Our highly trained plumbers are able to Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Fixes domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers. Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.

• Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
• Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
• Assembles fittings and valves for installation
• Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
• Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary
• Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters
• Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipe fitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing
• Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
• Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair
• Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building

LABORER 

Our Construction laborers have many duties on job sites that help work run smoother, including cleaning and preparing sites to ensure debris is properly removed, building scaffolding and other temporary structures, operating and maintaining equipment and digging trenches. They may also assist workers from other trades with their work. 

Our construction laborer job description include the need for outstanding physical abilities, as these workers commonly lift heavy materials and trash. Mechanical skills are also important because laborers can utilize equipment such as boom machines and jackhammers. 

Because our laborers are typically present for the duration of a job, they can assist in the various tasks taking place. They are able to assist all construction professionals, due their proper mathematical skills. 

_GARDNER 

Responsible for the general maintenance of the gardens, plants and lawns at the Hotel. And also maintain the beautification of the lawns and gardens in order to attract guests to hotels lush and green surroundings. The following includes but not limited to the type of services they can provide.

• The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery

• Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation and planting.

• The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers.

• Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut, etc.

• Oil level checks and check for damage to any mower.

• Report equipment malfunctions to engineering as and when noticed.

• To be aware of Health and Safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.

• To ensure all equipment, machinery are stored securely and clean after use.

• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns.

• Maintain gardens by naturally fertilizing, trimming and making sure that plants are receiving adequate water.

• Prune trees and hedges in ways that help the plants' health, are safe and look good.

• Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery, natural fertilisers but no chemicals.

• To keep the gardens, thoroughfares and footpaths clear and free from litter at all times.

• Planting (purchasing, organising etc. 

• Pruning and cutting hedges.

• Outside maintenance including pathways, pond, steps, walls etc.

• Tiding up and cleaning outside of the hotel building.

• Keep the tool shed / store room clean and tidy.

• Good knowledge of plants, must be organised and able to follow schedule.

STEEL BENDER

Responsible for laying out and fabricating structural steel and sheet metal in order to build metal structures. Welds and cuts steel, interprets blueprints, and works with concrete reinforcing steel bars.

•  Build and install iron or steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings, bridges, and other structures.
•  Cut, position, and bolt down steel bars to reinforce concrete.
•  Repair older infrastructure.
•  Make, weld, and cut structural metal in fabricating shops.
•  Erect steel frames.
•  Direct operation of cranes to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials onto and around the construction site.
•  Connect steel columns, beams, and girders.
•  Drill holes into steel for bolts.
•  Number steel according to assembly instructions.
•  Unload and stack steel.
•  Attach cables to steel and then to the crane.
•  Hoist steel into place in the framework.
•  Position steel with connecting bars and spud wrenches.
•  Work with drift pins to align the holes in the steel with the framework holes.
•  Use plumb bobs, levels, and laser equipment to check alignment. 
•  Bolt or weld piece into place.
•  Set reinforcing bars into forms to hold concrete.
•  Fasten bars together with wire. 
•  Place spacers under re-bar to lift bars off deck.
•  Cut bars with metal shears and torches.
•  Reinforce concrete with welded wire fabric.
•  Substitute cables for re-bar.
•  Tighten cables with jacking equipment. 
•  Install stairs, handrails, or curtain walls.
•  Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.

CABLE TV TECHNICIAN

cable television service technicians install, maintain and repair cable and satellite television and Internet signal and associated equipment in homes and commercial buildings. Cable television maintenance technicians maintain and repair cable television transmission and distribution systems and associated hardware. 

• Maintains and repairs cable television cables and equipment: Measures signal strength at amplifiers or at customer's terminal boxes, using field strength meter.
• Repairs or replaces worn components to ensure acceptable signal strength.
•  Climbs utility pole and connects test television set to amplifiers.
• Observes set to evaluate reception and determine cause of faulty reception
• Repairs defective cable systems.
• Answers customers' inquiries or complaints and explains cost and operation of cable service.
• May communicate with COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR , using two-way radio or telephone, to receive instructions or technical advice.
•  May report unauthorized use of cable system to COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR.
• May clean and maintain tools, test equipment, and motor vehicle.
